Under the guidance of our own kompang student leader, Mohd Khairul Nizam, the kompang group has grown in numbers and has been very active. Members were given training and exposure to the art of playing kompang. Our members have shown dedication and commitment and enthusiasm during practices and performances.
A major event last year was the Speech Day Concert where our members display their hidden talents by welcoming our guest of honour, our Principal, Mr Wong Lok Oon and our Vice-Principal, Ms Sandra Gwee.
Our kompang members held weekly practices every Saturday. To improve their kompang skills thwy will be taking part in the Inter-School Kompang competitions organized by external groups. Our previous achievements include 1st Runners-up in the Inter-School Competition organised by Bukit Timah CC.
